Team Building 101

A balanced competitive team typically needs:

1. A win condition — the Pokémon you want to sweep or apply pressure with. 2. Hazard setter — Stealth Rock or Spikes to chip the opponent. 3. Hazard control — Rapid Spin or Defog to remove hazards. 4. Speed control — Tailwind, Trick Room, or a fast lead. 5. Pivot — A Pokémon that can switch in freely and gain momentum. 6. Answer to common threats — Cover your win condition's weaknesses.
